55.6° North

5 February 2026 — 30 August 2026

On Now

A major collection-based Nordic contemporary survey connecting regional identity with global politics and ecological urgency.

From ARKEN Museum of Modern Art

55.6° north is the latitude on which ARKEN is located, in the heart of Copenhagen’s western suburbs. ARKEN’s major spring exhibition of Nordic contemporary art from the museum’s collection poses questions about the world and reality we are living in right now. The exhibition asks what is changing in a time of geopolitical shifts, and how Nordic traditions, cultures, identity, power, welfare, consumption, nature and climate are being re-read through contemporary artistic perspectives.
