Ending SoonA large-scale installation by Monira Al Qadiri linking petrochemical aesthetics, climate critique, and speculative futures.
From ARKEN Museum of Modern Art
ARKEN presents a major exhibition by Kuwaiti artist Monira Al Qadiri. Oil and petrochemicals are the starting point for floating sculptures, iridescent drill heads and a video work that imagines refinery landscapes through a child’s perspective. Raised in Kuwait, Al Qadiri merges mythology and futurism while questioning normalized resource extraction and petroculture, creating a universe where beauty and ecological unease coexist.
