On NowThe RA's 258th Summer Exhibition features prints, paintings, film, photography, sculpture and architecture by established and emerging artists. Many works are for sale, with proceeds supporting artists and the RA Schools.

Held every year without interruption since 1769, the Summer Exhibition showcases a diverse array of contemporary works, including prints, paintings, films, photography, sculpture, and architectural works. It features a mix of art by household names and emerging talent. Many works will be available to buy and sales will directly support the exhibiting artists and the RA’s charitable work, including training the next generation of artists at the Royal Academy Schools.

"But for pure painterly excellence, you won't get much better than Glen Pudvine and Harriet Porter. The former's image of two hands unfolding a piece of paper is stunningly executed. The latter's painting of a small, silver pot is beautiful, hazy, minimal, serene."

"I had two goals while pottering among the 1,851 works in the 258th Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition: to find a nice little piece to buy and to identify the most annoying exhibit. To my dismay, there was more competition for the latter."
