Co-organized with Tate Modern, this first SoCal solo show spans 70 years of Ono's instruction art, Lennon peace collaborations, and participatory works including a Wish Tree for LA.

The exhibition celebrates Ono's transformative practice through interactive works spanning from the 1950s to present day. Visitors will encounter her signature "instruction" pieces—text-based works that prompt reflection and action—alongside collaborative projects with John Lennon addressing peace and anti-war activism, including the 1969 "bed-in" events. Yoko Ono

Japanese, American · b. 1933

Yoko Ono is a Japanese-American artist, musician, and peace activist whose instruction-based conceptual works have shaped avant-garde art since the 1960s. A founding figure of Fluxus, she pioneered participatory and text-based art and collaborated with John Lennon on major peace campaigns.
