Goldsworthy makes sculpture from whatever he finds at the site: ice, leaves, stone, mud, thorns, snow. Working alone in remote landscapes, he creates forms that record seasonal change and the passage of time. His permanent installations endure long after the ephemeral pieces have dissolved back into nature.
