The headline exhibition of our summer 2025 art programme featured Rachel Whiteread (b. 1963), one of the most highly respected sculptors of her generation and the first woman to win the Turner Prize in 1993. Displayed in The Gallery were two sculptural works, Doppelgänger and Bergamo, alongside a series of photographic works. Meanwhile, three of Whiteread's sculptures, Down and Up (2024-25), Untitled (Pair) (1999) and Detached II (2012), remain on view across the landscape.
