Turner Prize-winning British sculptor who casts the negative spaces of buildings and everyday objects in plaster, resin, and rubber, making the invisible interior of a room or the underside of a mattress solid and permanent. House, a full-size cast of a demolished terraced house made in 1993, remains her most celebrated and controversial work.
