2027 would have marked the 90th birthday of one of Britain’s most celebrated artists, David Hockney. Throughout 2025 and into 2026, Tate Britain was working on a major project with the artist to mark this milestone anniversary. Following David Hockney’s death in June 2026, Tate Britain is honoured to present the culmination of that project: an exhibition charting seven decades of the artist’s work, focusing on the joys and complexities of love and friendship....
